Archiving

Introduction

INOVASIA is committed to preserving the scholarly record and ensuring the long-term accessibility of published articles. This Archiving Policy outlines the practices we adopt for archiving and preserving the content published in our journal.

Archiving with LOCKSS

INOVASIA partners with LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe), an industry-leading digital archiving system. Through LOCKSS, we ensure the secure preservation of our journal's content by creating multiple copies of our published articles across distributed nodes. This approach safeguards the content and ensures its availability, even in the event of technical failures or unforeseen circumstances.

Archiving Process

Upon publication, all articles in INOVASIA are automatically ingested into the LOCKSS network. LOCKSS employs a distributed archiving approach, where copies of the content are stored in multiple geographically dispersed locations, enhancing resilience and redundancy.

Access to Archived Content

The archived content of INOVASIA is made openly accessible to the public through the LOCKSS network. Readers and researchers can access and download the published articles for free, ensuring the continued dissemination and availability of knowledge.

Preservation Policy

INOVASIA regularly monitors the performance and effectiveness of the LOCKSS system to ensure the ongoing preservation of its content. In the unlikely event of a disruption to the LOCKSS service, we will take necessary measures to maintain access to the archived content through alternative means.

Archiving DOI

Each article published in INOVASIA is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) that facilitates easy and persistent access to the specific version of the article. DOIs are crucial in connecting readers to the archived content, even if there are future updates or changes to the article.
