Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of the construction of Gili Mas Harbor infrastructure on the socio-economic community of Labuan Tereng Village, Sheet District, West Lombok Regency through indicators of employment, income and education opportunities. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. Determination of the sample using purposive sampling technique. The location of this research is in Labuan Tereng Village. Data collection procedures using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman's interactive data analysis model which was divided into data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the existence of Gili Mas Port has been able to provide employment opportunities although not as significant as expected. The existence of the Gili Mas Port also has a positive impact on the income of the community around the port, as well as a negative impact on the income of fishing communities. Apart from that, the existence of Gili Mas Port has brought changes for the better and increased motivation towards the level of education for the people in Labuan Tereng Village.
