Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Skimming Mind Mapping Questioning Exploring Writing Communicating (Simas Eric) Terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa Geografi

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Skimming Mind Mapping Questioning Exploring Writing Communicating (SIMAS ERIC) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa geografi di SMA. Model pembelajaran SIMAS ERIC merupakan salah satu pembelajaran inovatif berbasis kontruktivis yang menekankan pada pembelajaran student centered melalui kegiatan pembelajaran yang dapat menyenangkan siswa dalam proses belajar. Model pembelajaran ini mampu mendisiplinkan siswa dalam membaca dan memahami materi yang akan diajarkan. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimen semu dengan Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu XI IPS I sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPS II sebagai kelas kontrol. Analisis data menggunakan uji independent sample t-test yang menunjukkan bahwa model SIMAS ERIC berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa geografi di SMA. Dari hasil posttest kelas eksperimen memiliki nilai lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol.
