Adhere to the agreed-upon review timeline. If delays are unavoidable, notify the editorial team promptly to ensure minimal disruption to the publication process. -
Ethical Standards
Ensure the manuscript complies with ethical guidelines, including proper attribution of sources, avoidance of plagiarism, and transparency in research methods. Report any suspected ethical violations (e.g., data fabrication, duplicate submission) to the editorial team. -
Transparency
DOAJ encourages journals to disclose their peer review processes (e.g., single-blind, double-blind, open). As a reviewer, respect the journal's chosen model and maintain anonymity if required. -
Scope and Relevance
Assess whether the submission aligns with the journal's scope and contributes meaningfully to the field. Recommend rejection if the content is unsuitable, but provide a rationale for the decision.
